Gregory K. Morss
Born: 1960 San Diego, CA
Gregory grew up in a large family who very much influenced his artistic career in a positive way. Mostly a self-taught artist today but his travels here are interesting. Between age 5 and 10, his Mother would take him to her art class at night to occupy him and keep him out of trouble. Gregory’s Mother had a passion for Modern – Contemporary Art and Landscape painting. Gregory created portraits, landscapes, wildlife, abstracts and contemporary pieces throughout his life until 1988 when his son was born. Having the new responsibility as a Father, he shifted his entire focus on his Son and career and never picked up a brush again.
In 2008, 22 years later; began learning how to use acrylics and texture.
Fascinated with endless possibilities, he began teaching himself and
experimenting with various textures and paint. Today and 700 pieces later; Gregory Morss continues pushing his knowledge and creativity through every completed piece.
Gregory is a self-representing artist. He is best known for his brilliant color and use of multiple textures in his original abstract modern paintings. He mostly enjoys the combination of texture and layered color. His art is bought by collectors worldwide.
