Art festivals and shows 09/30/2010
So many time I show at galleries I find such a rich group of people searching for a special piece that reminds them of something or a time and place. But I also find many people come for the free food and drinks..you could get frustrated or you can simply enjoy the company. I have been wanting to do some Art festivals but the costs are getting so high and with the current economy, I wonder if I will break even.. The world of art can be such a fulltime job with festivals and gallery shows along with finding time to paint new pieces or experiment with all the ideas I have. Working fulltime, painting fulttime and making it all work far to many artists know this is tough for some. I have met some artist that have quit everything in they're lives to simply paint..but I know I need to build a solid foundation to retire on through investments and other associated activites...but deep down inside, I want to say fuck it and just paint......damn...life has far to many choices... 1 Comment Post Title. 07/22/2010
Awesome Month for Art! I have met so many great people over the last few months and I have many new opportunities to show my work in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco. But the cost to do these shows holds me back. Not that it would not be worth paying so much to be part of these great festivals and shows...just a large amount of money I do not have additional reserves for....what to do???? So I sit and ponder where to go, pick one, don't do it, do it.....the mind is not the simple place it use to be...however, I keep producing more art and selling it...The mystical and magical universe bless me day after day... | AuthorI'm a Artist but also a Corporate Guy, Single Dad and busy all the time. I thought painting again would help pay for my son's college and found myself wishing I could only paint fulltime... I was on a 20 year break but started painting in August of 2007...this journey has been awesome and I continue to push until I can no longer. ArchivesOctober 2011 CategoriesAll |
