Art Sale! 04/01/2010

Selling your art is an art in itself. For years I have sold my work online. I use my personal website and Yessy.com . I have sold hundreds of pieces amd created a personal client group which always brings me commissioned pieces. However, this week I put on sale all of my art, I want to clear my gallery and to make room for new and exciting pieces that I will be creating. Some are very large and room would be nice. A week ago I posted the sale. It's intresting that I have yet to hear from one customer about a piece on sale. It's seems strange because I have emails everyday or sel a piece once  a week..but it's an erie calm. Some people have told me to mark my work up. I want to sell my art not just create and store it. Nothing motivates you more than someone out of the blue picking a piece and buying it. The stories that my customers share with me about how a piece reminds them of something or someone are amazing. So, let's see what happens after the month of April, let's see if putting my art on sale was a good a good idea of not. Enjoy Arpil, it's when the seasons change and the warmth of the sun feels like heaven.

Here comes the wonderful holiday season when everyone gets some much needed rest or maybe not. Over the years I have always cooked Thanksgiving dinner and this year I don’t have too. In fact, I don’t’ get many days off, so not cooking will be wonderful. I have 4 paintings in the works now and maybe I can focus on them without the everyday distractions. For most of you, this is a time for family to get together and enjoy good food, conversations and just seeing each other after so much time has passed. Some of you might just take it easy and enjoy the football and down time. Whichever it is, enjoy and my you be as blessed as I.
