So I have all these canvases....so many ideas and where to start. Most the time I just go for it but this time or this instance I'm stuck. I have some pieces with my texture aplied but not sure where to start with color...so the canvas sits waiting for the moment when I just jump up and start painting. I like to say I don't think to much I just paint but that would be a lie. Some piece I spend time measuring for perfection and these applying my color without and precision or thought. I could paint flowers pieces all and night, but I just finished 7 pieces for Mother's Day and want to move on to other ideas...geez..where to begin. It's also tough when you have a job you love and feel the need to work at night or over the weekend then your fighting between work and art. I suppose life could be much worse and I shouldn't bitch. I have so many canvases or various sizes and I want to play with so much color and design..maybe, without notice, without thought, without precision I will just go for it and find that they all become something other than I sat thinking of from the start. This is the beauty of art and the soul of a painting..it simply becomes........

So I started painting flowers again for Mother's day. It seems each year I create all new paintings around Mother's Day. My mom always has been my hero. Here or not she will be with me forever..she stood up for me, took care me and nurtured me into the artist and man I am today...I love you Mom!

The Flower paintings this became a quick series and one customer. I grabbed a bunch 24"x36" canvases ( good canvases) and just started last week paintings away..next thing you know-BAM! 6 pieces are done and one sold with customer request, my buddy in Texas wanted smaller matching ends. Will be shipping the Custom "Sienne 2" 1st of the week in hope it gets to him for Mother's day..
